Back to the Start

A series that I did a few months ago. It was one of my last hoorahs at RISD. Since I've been working to keep up rent, it's tougher than I thought it would be to keep up painting. I've been doing a lot of drawing like this in my sketchbook, and that's probably why I'm most comfortable with drawing lately. I am making a point however, to try and do some painting even if I'm exhausted. \
Anywho... II believe these are successful in getting my point across, because the images are fleeting, and are in tune with my process of remembering these things.

Give a Boy a Painting and He'll Throw It Away.

This will be a painting. I've been brainstorming on my next painting (wanting to incorporate more of my characters), and this sketch made me excited.

Today I was mourning the loss of a certain painting, and certain sculpture that has been thrown away by the boy I gave it to long ago.

Baring my soul...or something like that

Cakes!

(22"x30" Drawing on Paper)
A new drawing from the end of my Semester at RISD. A new direction I think.
Check out a couple of cakes I worked on at Sin this week. My lovely boss Jen posted some photos। I made the penguins for the arctic penguin cake, and my first cake (all by myself!) the safari cake.
